About Me

Hi, I’m Maurice!

!

Whether shooting a happy couple on their wedding day, a sweaty nfl player, or a professional model, I approach every job the same way. I like shooting beautiful pictures, working with great people, and telling a story with my camera. I think photos of loved ones are priceless… I consider myself an artist, but what makes my work special is the people in it. I’m just there to bring it out and capture it with my camera…. Photographing the most important days + most important people in my clients lives is something I consider super important, and a huge honor…

?

Can you describe your style? My approach combines the style of fashion photography, with the storytelling aspects of photojournalism. I have two main goals at every shoot: I want to create beautiful portraits that showcase your style and personality, and I want to capture candid pictures that tell the story of the event. My experience photographing athletes and celebrities has taught me to make all photo shoots run quickly and smoothly, and that they should be fun for all involved! I want to you remember how much fun the photo shoot was, and it should never feel like a chore. Do you bring backup cameras? Of course! Every important piece of gear has a backup–and the backups have backups. I bring gear that will allow me to shoot in any weather or lighting environment! What Camera’s do you use? Right now, I’m shooting with Canon 5d III’s and a 1dx’s, and L series prime lenses. I also love the 70-200, and that occasionally makes an appearance when I need the extra reach. What if our venue is dark? Good lighting is probably the most important element in good wedding pictures (and really all pictures.) When it’s a gloomy weather kind of day, or the venue is a dark one, I bring a number of Canon Speedlights, as well as more powerful Elinchrom battery powered lights when I need them. I almost get excited for bad light, because it means I get to use my lighting gear, and it often ends up looking even better than a naturally lit venue. How many pictures do you take? I shoot thousands per wedding, and generally deliver about 100 edited images per hour of coverage, so from an 8hr wedding, you would receive over 800 images. Do we get the digital files? Absolutely! All packages include the full-resolution digital files. Clients receive a flash drive (in a jewelry box 😉 around 4-6 weeks after the wedding. How do we book you? Booking is on a first come first served basis. In order to give you the date, we need a signed copy of the contract, along with the deposit. We recommend sending it in ASAP! Do you take credit cards? Sure do!
